GIULIANA ROSSO

Giuliana Rosso (Turin, 1992) lives and works in Turin, Italy. Her artistic practice moves across painting and drawing, frequently expanding through the use of papier-mâché and installations to explore the relationship with the surrounding space. Her work investigates a human condition of constant restlessness, where childhood and adolescence become a metaphor for broad themes of transition, fragility, and anxiety, often set in relation with folk imaginaries, altered states, and alternative realities. With her work she intends to highlight the world of less visible sensations and moods.
A selection of her past exhibitions includes: Espressioni. La proposizione, Castello di Rivoli Museo D’Arte Contemporanea, Turin 2020 [1]; He Heard With His Dead Ear, Almanac Inn, Turin 2019 [2]; Soltanto ora, perdute, mi diventano vere, c. by Treti Galaxie, VEDA, Florence 2019 [3] Capriccio 2000, Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Turin 2019 [4] Expdanded Painting, Galleria Massimo Minini, Brescia 2019 [5]If it is untouchables it is not beautiful, Monitor, Rome 2019 [6] .
