Eleonora Luccarini (Bologna, 1993) lives and works in Amsterdam. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Bologna, IUAV University Venice and Sandberg Institute. Her research is multidisciplinary and centered around the performative possibilities of language. By placing writing in constant interaction with other media, such as performance, video, animation and sculpture, her practice inquires the relationship among word, image and body, reflecting the possibilities of subversion of social norms and cultural codes, linked in particular to the performativity of the self.
She has recently exhibited at Baleno International, Roma 2022; MACRO Museum of Contemporary Art Rome, 2021; Istituto Svizzero, Milano 2021; Manifattura Tabacchi, Firenze 2021; Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Torino 2021; Quadriennale di Roma 2020; OGR, Torino 2020; Cripta 747, Torino 2020. In 2021 she participated at the residency project Nuovo Forno del Pane held by MAMbo – Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Bologna and to the performance art festival Live Arts Week X curated by Xing.
